FieldGuide is designed so your Pokémon collection stays under your control.
What is stored
Your saved Pokémon, CP, appraisal IVs, attacks, candy notes, and collection preferences are stored in IndexedDB inside your own browser. A small browser preference records whether you have dismissed the beta welcome notice.
What is not collected
FieldGuide does not require a user account, does not request Pokémon GO credentials, does not store your collection in a shared application database, and does not run advertising or analytics trackers.
Screen recordings and third-party requests
Recordings and screenshots are analyzed in your browser. Pokémon species data, sprites, and text-recognition software may be retrieved from third-party providers such as PokéAPI, public sprite hosts, or content-delivery networks. Those providers may receive normal web-request information such as an IP address.
Backups and deletion
Use Export backup and Import backup in My Pokémon to move your collection between browsers. Use Clear to delete your saved Pokémon, or clear this website’s browser storage. Clearing your browser data without a backup may permanently remove your collection.
